Flex Physician Inpatient Pulmonary Medicine

Geisinger is seeking a Pulmonary physician for flex shifts at Geisinger Wyoming Valley and Geisinger Community Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, Pennsylvania. This position primarily involves weekend shifts (typically one per month) on an inpatient consult service, rounding on patients from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and providing phone call coverage after hours for sick calls and Emergency Department inquiries. The role requires the ability to perform bronchoscopy and thoracentesis, and typical cases include COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, pleural effusion, and respiratory failure.
