The Atrium Health Virtual Primary Care Program is a patient-centered, system-oriented program that provides comprehensive, evidence-based obesity and metabolic health care through a fully virtual platform. This physician is a member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality weight management services focused on obesity treatment and support for long term wellness. Highlights
- Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
- Hybrid role combining Virtual Primary Care (VPC) and in-person Extended Care services within the Charlotte market
- 32 clinical hours per week on a rotating, shift-based schedule
- Typical weekly schedule includes: Two 12-hour in-person Extended Care shifts and one 8-hour Virtual Primary Care shift
- Physicians are primarily assigned to one division but may provide coverage in the other division as needed
- Clinic Hours: Monday-Sunday, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Rotating schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holiday coverage
- Weekend coverage typically required one weekend every four weeks
- Approximately one week of call every 6-8 weeks
- Phone backup support for the Pediatric Virtual Care team
- Low call volume
- Call coverage runs Monday at 8:00 a.m. through the following Monday at 8:00 a.m. Provided through the Extended Care Clinic, offering comprehensive pediatric primary and acute care services
Training and/or Experience Required
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Pediatrics residency program
- Board Certification in General Pediatrics is required
- Maintenance of Certification required per applicable board standards
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience
- Experience in virtual care preferred
- Physician will provide in-person care to patients at the Charlotte, NC clinic
- Our virtual pediatricians will care for patients in NC, SC, GA, AL, IL and WI and must be licensed in resident state and NC, SC, GA, AL, IL and WI
- Although this is a remote position, the physician must reside in one of Advocate Health's approved states: AL, AK, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, LA, KS, KY, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, WY
- Must be willing to serve as a collaborating physician for APPs
