Neurohospitalist Advanced Practice Provider | 10-hour shifts

Job Description:
**Overview**

**JOB SPECIFICS**

* Providing high-quality patient care and a truly personalized, patient-centric experience aligned with each patient's preferences, goals, and needs.
* Inpatient neurology and stroke care, including comprehensive neurological assessments, daily rounding, histories and physicals, new consults, admissions, and discharges.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with neurohospitalists and multidisciplinary care teams. Work closely with neurologists, residents, and nurses to optimize patient outcomes.
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging, prescribe medications, and document all care provided.
* Provide patient and family education on neurological diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term management plans.
* Perform procedures, including lumbar punctures, and assist with other bedside procedures.
* 10-hour shifts, day shift hours, rotating weekends and holidays as part of the schedule.

Required Qualifications:
* Licensed to provide either advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act OR physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987.
* Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
* BLS/ACLS Certified.
* Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
* Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

* Full-time, clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $60.39 - $68.10. This position is salaried.
