Job Specifics

* Illinois Neurological Institute and OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois, is seeking a PRN Neurohospitalist to expand our team.
* Enjoy flexibility with a 7 on 7 off schedule
* The role involves comprehensive management of adult neurology patients in an acute care setting, including making diagnostic and treatment decisions in the ED, determining suitability for thrombolytic and/or endovascular stroke treatments, managing a range of routine and complex inpatient neurologic conditions, and collaborating across multiple medical disciplines
* Potential academic opportunity with Family Practice residents from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Bloomington
* No hospital call
* Participate in quality improvement measures within the neurology department and the hospital for neurology-specific matters

Required Qualifications:
* Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state
* Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable
* Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges
* Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
* Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served
